This 1-arm pilot study will test the feasibility of recruitment and use of the Physical Activity Counseling Tool (PACT) in 40 UC San Diego Health patients.
The purpose of this study is to pilot test the use of physical activity summary reports and counseling guides for healthcare providers based on continuous objective activity data from wearable fitness trackers, and to test the potential effectiveness and usability of the system in counseling patients. The proposed strategy will leverage existing technologies while addressing barriers to incorporating them into clinical care, and will have high potential for broad reach, low-cost implementation across clinical settings.
