Terms of Use

It reproduces study records from ClinicalTrials.gov in a more readable form, and adds a discussion thread to each one. Where this data comes from explains exactly what we take and what we change.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the U.S. National Institutes of Health, the National Library of Medicine, or ClinicalTrials.gov. The registry is the authority for every record; where this site and the registry differ, the registry is correct.

Nothing on this site — not a study record, not a summary, not a comment, not an answer from a verified study team member — is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and none of it is a substitute for talking to a qualified clinician.

A study appearing here is not a recommendation to enrol in it. Trial records describe what a sponsor intends to study, not what is known to work, and a trial may be unsuitable or unsafe for any particular person. Decisions about your care belong with your own doctor.

If you think you may be having a medical emergency, contact your local emergency service. Do not post about it here and wait.

Reading needs no account. Posting, following a study and receiving digests do.

You must be 18 or older to hold an account, and you confirm that when you set it up. Anyone of any age can read every study record on this site without one.

Keep control of the mailbox your account signs in with — anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. One person, one account; do not share one or let someone else use yours.

Your display name is pseudonymous and yours to choose, but it must not impersonate a real person, a sponsor, an institution, or this site.

Comments are public. Anyone on the internet can read them and search engines index them. Treat everything you write as permanent and attributable to your display name.

Do not post:

• Anything claiming to be from a study team, sponsor, regulator or clinician when it is not.
• Personal information about another person — a patient, an investigator, a site coordinator — that they have not published themselves.
• Specific medical advice to an individual, or claims that a treatment works or is safe ahead of the evidence.
• Recruitment solicitations, promotion, or spam.
• Harassment, or abuse of another person.

Content about self-harm, exposure of someone’s personal data, and impersonation are treated as urgent: reporting one hides it immediately, before review rather than after.

What you write stays yours. You give us permission to store, display, and distribute it on this site so that the thread works — including keeping the reply structure intact if you later close your account, at which point the text you wrote is erased and only an empty placeholder remains.

You confirm that what you post is yours to post and does not infringe anyone else’s rights.

Anyone signed in can report a comment. Reports hide a comment pending review. We may hide, remove, or refuse anything that breaks the rules above, and may suspend or close an account that does so repeatedly — with or without notice where the harm is ongoing.

We do not pre-screen comments, and we do not endorse them. Moderation is best effort, not a guarantee that everything here is accurate or safe.

A study team badge means one narrow thing: this account could receive email at the contact address ClinicalTrials.gov publishes on that study’s record, at the moment it was confirmed.

It does not mean:

• that the person is a principal investigator, a clinician, or an employee of the sponsor;
• that the sponsor has approved, reviewed, or is aware of what they write;
• anything at all about any other study — badges are per study.

The badge stops showing as soon as the registry stops publishing that address. Everything a badge holder writes is still their own statement, still not medical advice, and still not a statement by us.

Study records are written and filed by sponsors and investigators and published by ClinicalTrials.gov. We do not verify, correct, or endorse them. They may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong at the source, and we reproduce them as they are.

ClinicalTrials.gov is produced by the U.S. National Library of Medicine. Works of the U.S. government are not subject to copyright in the United States, so the records themselves are freely reusable. NLM asks three things of anyone who reuses them, and we do all three:

• We acknowledge the source. “Courtesy of the U.S. National Library of Medicine” appears on every page of this site.
• We do not indicate or imply that NLM has endorsed this site. It has not, and the notice on every page says so.
• We keep the data current, and we say how current it is rather than asserting that it is. The data page states the newest registry update we hold, read from the collection rather than written into the copy.

Individual records may quote or link to material that is not a U.S. government work — published papers, for instance — and those remain subject to their own copyright.

The site is provided as-is. We do not promise it will be available, complete, current, or error-free, and we may change or discontinue any part of it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes arising from them are subject to the jurisdiction of the Suwon District Court, Seongnam Branch, which is the court for the operator’s address.

If you are a consumer, this does not take away protections you have at home. Where the law of your country of residence gives you rights that cannot be contracted away, you keep them, and you may bring proceedings in your own courts where that law says you may. Nothing here limits your data protection rights, which are described in our Privacy Policy and apply regardless of this clause.
