An interventional study of T0 starch capsule and T1 resveratrol capsule in Liver Biomarkers, Glucose and Lipid Profiles, sponsored by University of Lahore. Completed at 1 site in Pakistan. Open to participants aged 40 Years to 60 Years, including healthy volunteers. Per ClinicalTrials.gov, last updated 2026-10-23.

This 12-week randomized controlled trial evaluated the effects of resveratrol supplementation with and without a low glycemic index (LGI) diet in obese patients with diabetic nephropathy. Resveratrol, particularly at the higher dose combined with an LGI diet, significantly improved anthropometric, hepatic, renal, and biochemical parameters, including BMI, liver enzymes, BUN, UPCR, serum uric acid, phosphorus, and albumin levels. These findings suggest that resveratrol may serve as an effective nutraceutical adjunct to dietary modification for improving renal and metabolic health in diabetic nephropathy patients.
This randomized controlled trial investigated the modulatory effects of resveratrol supplementation, with and without a low glycemic index (LGI) diet, among 102 obese patients with diabetic nephropathy over a 12-week intervention period. Participants were randomly allocated into three groups, including a placebo group and two treatment groups receiving different doses of resveratrol. Clinical, anthropometric, and biochemical parameters were assessed at baseline and after the intervention to determine the efficacy of the treatments.
544 studies on the registry are indexed under Diabetic Nephropathies; 107 are open to participants now.
This study's enrollment of 102 is above the median of 80 across 385 interventional studies indexed under Diabetic Nephropathies.

Ran from Jun 2025 to primary completion in Aug 2025, 2 months.
Of 50 non-industry interventional studies with no phase under Diabetic Nephropathies, half reached primary completion within 23 months of starting (the median), counting those still running; a quarter within 10 and three quarters within 37. This study's 2 months is below that.
Counting every sponsor, half of 53 studies reached it within 23 months; a quarter within 10 and three quarters within 37.
