Study summary

This prospective study aims to assess changes in complete blood count parameters among Egyptian children with epilepsy receiving antiseizure medications.

Read the detailed description

Antiseizure medications are the mainstay of treatment for children with epilepsy. Some of these medications may affect hematological parameters including hemoglobin, white blood cell count, and platelet count.

This observational study will evaluate complete blood count parameters in newly diagnosed children with epilepsy before starting antiseizure medication and at follow-up time points after treatment initiation.
