Study summary

The aim of the study was to test the indigenously developed and Islamic Integrated forgiveness therapy to deal the symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress, anger and ruminations after the occurrence of marital transgression. The study utilized Qusai experimental research design. Non-probability convenience sampling strategy was utilized, and 50 participants (16 Men \& 34 Women), married for at least 3-years and who have experienced a marital transgression(s) were recruited. 27 in IIFT group and 23 in FT group, of age-range 28-38 years (M = 33.60, SD = 3.65) were enrolled for the study. Demographic Information Sheet, Marital Transgression Checklist, Enright's Forgiveness Inventory-30 (EFI-30), Depression, Anxiety Stress Scale-21 (DASS-21), Marital Offence-Specific Forgiveness Scale (MOFS), Ruminations about the Transgressions, Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI); empathetic concern and perspective-taking, Religious and Spiritual Struggles Scale (RSS) and Self-Transcendence Scale (STS) were used as an outcome measures. The results of the study, analyzed using SPSS-23, indicated that there were significant mean differences between the experimental group and the control group on the scores of forgiveness, depression, anxiety, stress, ruminations, marital offence specific forgiveness, religious and spiritual struggles, and self-transcendence indicating that Islamic Integrated Forgiveness Therapy was more effective in alleviating the symptoms.

Ran from Oct 2023 to primary completion in Aug 2024, 9 months.

Of 3,016 non-industry interventional studies with no phase under Depression, half reached primary completion within 22 months of starting (the median), counting those still running; a quarter within 10 and three quarters within 43. This study's 9 months is below that.

Counting every sponsor, half of 3,112 studies reached it within 22 months; a quarter within 10 and three quarters within 43.

How these figures are worked out, and which studies are left out of them.

What these dates mean
Start.
When the first participant enrolled; while estimated, when the study expects to open to recruitment.
Primary completion.
When the last participant was examined or treated to collect data for the study's main question, its primary outcome. A study that stopped early gives the date its data collection stopped.
Completion.
When the last participant's last visit took place, for every outcome, secondary ones and side effects included: the end of the study. Often later than primary completion, sometimes the same day.
Actual and Est.
Actual means the registry says the date has happened. Est. (estimated) is a date the sponsor plans or expects. It can still move, and the sponsor is expected to change it to actual once it has passed.
