An interventional study of The Rocabado Program and Jacobson Progressive Muscle Relaxation Technique in Bruxism and Stress (Psychology), sponsored by Misr University for Science and Technology. Not yet recruiting at 1 site in Egypt. Open to participants aged 20 Years to 30 Years. Per ClinicalTrials.gov, last updated 2026-10-09.

This study will compare the effect of three different physical therapy techniques on stress level on patients with bruxism by assessment of morning salivary biomarkers.
Objective: This study will compare the effect of Rocabado program, Jacabson progressive muscle relaxation technique and biofeedback on controlling the stress level reflected on the morning cortisol level on patients with bruxism.
Background: Bruxism is a masticatory muscle hyperactivity activity, it's not a comorbidity. Since it's a behaviour it's causes are frequently complex and multifactorial which need multidiscipline approach for assessment and treatment.
Methods: Forty five male and female patients with mild and moderate bruxism will participate in this study; they will be divided into three equal groups, group A will receive 12 sessions of Rocabado program, group B will receive 12 sessions of Jacobson progressive muscle relaxation and group C will receive 12 sessions of electromyography biofeedback. Data from three groups will be obtained pre and post treatment regarding the morning cortisol level to measure the level of the stress and to compare the effect of different physical therapy modalities in controlling the stress level in people with bruxism
169 studies on the registry are indexed under Bruxism; 39 are open to participants now.
This study's planned enrollment of 45 is above the median of 39 across 106 interventional studies indexed under Bruxism.

Jacobson developed the method of progressive muscle relaxation progressive muscle relaxation method as a supportive therapy for the treatment of neurological disorders.
A non invasive process by surface electrodes that using visual and auditory cues via electronic monitoring of a normally masticatory function to train bruxers to acquire voluntary control of the hyperactivity
