Study summary

CD180 is a cell-surface protein recently identified through proteomic analysis as a potential target of interest in myeloid hematological malignancies. It may have diagnostic and monitoring potential, particularly in acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

This monocentric, non-interventional, retrospective observational study aims to characterize CD180 expression by flow cytometry in pathological hematopoietic cells, particularly in AML, and in normal hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (CD34+ cells). The study will use residual blood and bone marrow samples collected during routine care and otherwise intended for disposal by incineration, together with relevant clinical and laboratory data.

What researchers measure

Primary outcomes

  1. CD180 Expression in Normal and Pathological CD34+ Cells

Percentage of CD34+ cells expressing CD180 above the levels observed in negative control populations (T lymphocytes and neutrophils), and intensity of CD180 expression measured by antibody-based fluorescence intensity.

Time frame: During the 6-month data collection period, from January 21, 2026, to July 21, 2027.
