What researchers measure

Primary outcomes

  1. Time to first occurrence of composite 3-point (3P)-MACE

3P-MACE is defined as a confirmed composite endpoint consisting of non-fatal myocardial infarction (MI), non-fatal stroke or cardiovascular (CV) death.

Time frame: From Day 1 to total follow-up time (up to Month 74)

Secondary outcomes

  1. Time to first occurrence of composite 5-point (5P)-MACE

5P-MACE is defined as a confirmed composite endpoint consisting of non-fatal MI, non-fatal stroke, hospitalization for unstable angina (UA), hospitalization for heart failure (HF) or CV death.

Time frame: From Day 1 to total follow-up time (up to Month 74)

  2. Time to first occurrence of MI (fatal and non-fatal)

Time frame: From Day 1 to total follow-up time (up to Month 74)

  3. Time to first occurrence of stroke (fatal and non-fatal)

Time frame: From Day 1 to total follow-up time (up to Month 74)

  4. Time to occurrence of CV death

CV death is defined as death due to CV events.

Time frame: From Day 1 to total follow-up time (up to Month 74)

  5. Time to occurrence of all-cause death

All-cause death is defined as all deaths due to any cause.

Time frame: From Day 1 to total follow-up time (up to Month 74)

Time frame: From Day 1 to total follow-up time (up to Month 74)

  7. Time to first occurrence of hospitalization for UA

Time frame: From Day 1 to total follow-up time (up to Month 74)

  8. Number of participants reporting any serious adverse events (SAEs)

An SAE is defined as any untoward medical occurrence that results in death, is life-threatening, requires inpatient hospitalization or prolongation of existing hospitalization, results in persistent or significant disability/incapacity, is a congenital anomaly/birth defect in the offspring of a study participant, is an abnormal pregnancy outcome or is a suspected transmission of any infectious agent via an authorized medicinal product. Any = occurrence of the SAE regardless of intensity grade or relation to the study vaccination.

Time frame: From Day 1 to Month 14

  9. Number of participants reporting SAEs related to the study intervention or study procedures

Time frame: From Day 1 to total follow up time (up to Month 74)

1 registry update since Sep 25, 2026
ElapsedEstimatedEstimated, not yet reachedSimilar studies: half by the dot; the band is the middle halfHalf of similar studies reached it by the dot; the band is the middle half, from a quarter to three quarters

Start is estimated for Nov 2026; primary completion for Nov 2032, 71 months later.

Of 49 industry-sponsored phase 3 interventional studies under Cardiovascular Diseases, half reached primary completion within 63 months of starting (the median), counting those still running; a quarter within 24 and three quarters within 83. This study's planned 71 months is above that.

Counting every sponsor, half of 85 studies reached it within 57 months; a quarter within 30 and three quarters within 83.

Cardiovascular Diseases covers many different conditions, not one, so the studies compared here vary widely. Read these figures as a rough guide.

How these figures are worked out, and which studies are left out of them.

What these dates mean
Start.
When the first participant enrolled; while estimated, when the study expects to open to recruitment.
Primary completion.
When the last participant was examined or treated to collect data for the study's main question, its primary outcome. A study that stopped early gives the date its data collection stopped.
Completion.
When the last participant's last visit took place, for every outcome, secondary ones and side effects included: the end of the study. Often later than primary completion, sometimes the same day.
Actual and Est.
Actual means the registry says the date has happened. Est. (estimated) is a date the sponsor plans or expects. It can still move, and the sponsor is expected to change it to actual once it has passed.
