An interventional study of Sodium Bicarbonate Solution in Health Adults, sponsored by Changhai Hospital. Not yet recruiting. Open to participants aged 18 Years to 80 Years, including healthy volunteers. Per ClinicalTrials.gov, last updated 2026-10-16.
Sponsored by Changhai Hospital · Not applicable, Interventional, and Diagnostic
Magnetically controlled capsule endoscopy (MCE) is a noninvasive alternative to conventional gastroscopy with comparable diagnostic accuracy. However, mucus adherence to the capsule lens during examination can severely impair visualization, and MCE lacks an irrigation mechanism for lens cleaning. Current guidelines provide no intra-procedural recommendations for managing lens soiling. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of sodium bicarbonate solution in improving MCE lens cleanliness during gastric examination.
Changhai Hospital is the lead sponsor of 354 studies on the registry; 136 are open to participants now.
